Open Rate Info

Measuring open rate requires that a tracking image be included in your (HTML) message. This is not done by default unless you include the proper image link in your default template. It *is* included in our default template, but if you create and use a different template, be sure to include the link below if you want to track open rates.

To track opens, include a link to this image in your HTML, thus:

 <img src="https://www.cctomany.com/o/_ln_/_up_/_dp_/_su_/">

When installed properly, this image will appear as three small gray dots. Then when your newsletter is delivered, each link will be converted to a unique code linked to that mailing & subscriber.

The Open Rate Graph

Two different counts are included for open rate. The blue line is generated by counting ALL opens, even multiple opens by the same recipient. The red line counts only one open per reader per day.

Recent Subscriptions

This does not include new subscribers you added manually, only those who confirmed a subscription submitted through a public subscription request.

Recent Unsubscribes

Entries showing "as_junk" mean that person was unsubscribed because they reported your email as spam.

Recent Bounces

Our default setting is to remove addresses which bounce three times. Those listed here have only bounced once or twice. Removed addresses are reported in your weekly report email.

Raw Open Rate Data

This link will show you the raw data from our server log. Each open event is recorded, showing date & time, email address to which the opened email was sent, IP from which it was opened, and a truncated version of the message subject line. You can copy & paste this information for further analysis, or search it to see if a specific subscriber opened a particular message.
