Optional Scheduling
The standard method to send (post) messages to a CcToMany list is via email. You simply compose the message and send it to the control- address for your list (including a posting password). It's simple, and distribution is immediate.
This standard method of posting via email is better if:
- You want a simple method for posting.
- You want to send attachments.
- You are more concerned with the information content than the layout.
- You want to allow someone else to post messages to the list without giving them full access to your admin interface.
However, some lists are better served by the ability to schedule mailings at future date(s). This method requires that you compose the message online here in your CcToMany admin interface, then schedule it for delivery at some future date and time.
Posting via scheduled posts is better if:
- You want to use a template so all messages look alike.
- You want to post messages at times when you're not on email.
- You want to schedule deliveries for days or weeks into the future.
- You want to have multiple messages queued for future delivery.
- You want to assure a consistent look for all issues.
- You like to send review copies prior to actual release.
- You want to embed tracking links to track open rates, etc.
The Scheduled-Post interface is an extra cost ($10/month) option.
